Technology has become an increasingly important topic in K-12 education with grand hopes for enhancing teaching and learning. Teacher buy-in and teacher preparation are fundamental to the effective integration of educational technologies in classroom instruction (Mishra & Koehler, 2006). In this paper, our objective is to document current trends in teachers’ perspectives and experiences with technology, in their schools and classroom practice. We report on a statewide survey of K-12 teachers in Maryland. This data provide valuable opportunities to investigate the relationship between teachers and technology implementation as school systems are evolving rapidly with technology.
