Fri, April 8, 2:15 to 3:45pm, Convention Center, Floor: Level Two, Exhibit Hall D Section D

Abstract

AMAYS is an NSF sponsored design-based research project involving the creation, implementation, and evaluation of a unique, technology-rich informal learning environment (ILE) and curriculum for traditionally underserved middle school students in the Atlanta, GA metropolitan area. Our 3-year research plan for the AMAYS project involves mixed methods for data collection and analysis and formative evaluation based on the concept of design-based research. Our poster will present results of our first iteration of data collection and analysis as well as the initial prototype of the AMAYS ILE.
