The present study summarizes findings from a previous project of neuromyths teachers held in East China and further investigating the source of the myths. The quantitative survey comprised 238 teachers in East China followed by an in-depth interviews (n=12). Results showed that Chinese teachers acquired brain knowledge through their own teaching and learning experience, and public media, but failed to find relationship between brain science and teaching practices. In other words, we need to find effective ways to bridge neuroscience knowledge and classroom practices in order to reduce the neuromyths and exploit the potential of educational application of neuroscience.
