The current study explored the possibility of training learners to become better question askers in as little as 25 minutes using pedagogical agents in a multimedia vicarious learning environment. Results revealed that learners who received the question training asked better questions and performed higher on the posttest compared to the control condition. Additionally, results revealed a significant interaction between the learners’ prior knowledge and question training. More specifically, learners who entered the learning session with low prior knowledge benefited the most from the question training. Individual differences were also explored.
