This study investigated the impact of a Race to the Top STEM investment on K-12, higher education, and business/community stakeholder STEM awareness. A two-year, longitudinal trend study was conducted utilizing the STEM Community Awareness Survey (SACS)that was administered to three stakeholder groups across the state. Findings indicated the large-scale (statewide) STEM education investment led to improved beliefs and awareness about STEM education, engagement, resources, preparation, and careers for various community stakeholders. Implications for policy and practice are discussed.
