This paper focuses on the ways that the Math Forum, an online math education community uses technology to enhance teachers ability to engage in deep discussion about their students mathematical thinking and problem solving as well as their own thinking and problem solving. Rooted in a deep believe that conversation is at the core of building knowledge, the Math Forum staff employ a framework they call Noticing and Wondering. The paper looks at how Noticing & Wondering develops in one particular project and how the concept relates to other ideas in the field of mathematics education.
