Teaching, Thinking, Tweeting: An Exploratory Study of Community-Building Among Educational Professionals on Twitter

Abstract

This paper investigates the role that Twitter has played in the EnCoMPASS project at the Math Forum (http://mathforum.org/encompass). Through the analysis of the tweets of 24 teacher “fellows” who are part of this 4-year NSF project, the paper addresses some of the ways that Twitter is having an impact on the development of online professional teacher communities.
