Teaching effectiveness has been the topic of considerable interest, and oftentimes students’ evaluations serve as the tool to measure teaching effectiveness. A growing body of literature suggests that teacher flexibility is an important component of effective teaching. Yet, no attention has been placed on examining the role of instructional flexibility using the existing course evaluation survey. Therefore, the aim of this study was to address this gap. Teacher flexibility items were added to an existing course evaluation survey, and 93 college students filled out the survey. Findings indicated that teacher flexibility was correlated with teaching effectiveness.
