In this descriptive, exploratory case study, we examine social network structures and individual sensemaking of partners in a multi-sector educational partnership network aiming to impact student outcomes at a regional level via a community change-based approach to education. Specifically, we use sensemaking and social network theory and analysis to describe the collaboration, advice and support networks of a high performing Oregon Regional Achievement Collaborative partnership network. Results indicate a dense, collaborative network of partners and limited connections regarding guidance seeking around issues of equity, an important focus of the partnership. This study provides actionable data to partnerships and policy makers in the state of Oregon and furthers understanding of collective interrelations of partners and the sensemaking of individuals within networks.
