This particular paper focuses on how thinking narratively alongside urban aboriginal youth, and the development of community research relationships, has allowed us to create a conversational space for telling and retelling life stories (Clandinin &Connelly, 2000). The physical descriptors animate our surroundings, helping us to travel back to moments experienced within the gymnasium alongside youth which help us to more intentionally pay attention to what we are conceptualizing as a conversational space; a space that is situated in place, time and the personal and social contexts (Clandinin & Connelly, 2000; Clandinin, 2013).
