Abstract

The paper is the review of change in the Teacher Education between years 1972 and 1990 in the Faculty of Education of University of Chile, the main school for Teacher Education in our country in those years. The objective is to develop a recent history the Teacher education in Chile. In this paper, I explain different events and principally the process lived in the period the dictatorship in Chile, and like that critical period involved the educational development in that years. The comprehension the different process in the actual educational policies in Latin America implies one review of the history. The historical review explains different facts in the present and is an important framework for a new politics.
