Much of the research on experiential education in teacher education has focused on individual cases. This paper examines the outcomes of two different experiential opportunities offered to teachers in a graduate program. Outside of the experiential option, the teachers had parallel program experiences. Though both experiential options were meaningful, the learning they enabled for the participants in each experience differed. The study enables us to begin to consider a typology of experiential work in teacher education.
