In Roundtable Session: Computerized Testing: Applications and Advances
This paper introduces a blocked-design cognitive diagnosis computerized adaptive testing (CD-CAT), which allows examinees to review items and change answers during test administration. Four versions of the procedure were proposed. In addition, the impact of several factors, namely, item quality, generating model, block size, and test length, on the classification rates was investigated. Two popular item selection indices in CD-CAT were used, and their efficiency was compared considering the new procedure. The results showed that the new procedure was promising for allowing item review under some conditions.
