School choice has become and will continue to be an important aspect of students’ educational experiences. Unfortunately, research on school choice has ignored giving voice to what students take into account when selecting a school. As a result, schools often do not know how to tailor and target recruitment strategies to increase student enrollment. The findings from this study will be used to (a) customize recruitment efforts to students’ needs so that they can make informed decisions about which school to attend, and (b) identify the key resources and personnel that students rely on to make their school choice and how these sources can provide better information to students in making their selection.
