Sat, April 9, 10:35am to 12:05pm, Convention Center, Floor: Level Two, Exhibit Hall D Section D

Abstract

This study examines the impact of course repetition on time to baccalaureate degree and student debt accumulation by using institutional and student level data from the National Center for Education Statistics’ Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System, the Beginning Postsecondary Students Longitudinal Study, and the Baccalaureate and Beyond Longitudinal Study. Findings from this study indicate that course repetition and specifically the number of courses repeated, are related to time to degree and student loan debt accumulation.
