Novice Teachers of English in Public School Communities of Practice

Abstract

Novice teachers' (NTs) first years of instruction are marked by the context where they teach and the relations established with the other members in the school community. By using Wenger's theory of communities of practice, this study looks at NTs' experiences and the way they participate in English public school communities in Chile.
