The black male body has been socially constructed as an object of fear and intimidation; simultaneously social network, social media, and historical bigotry have victimized the black male body. Currently, the black male body is under attack in teacher education; imagining the black male body as in violation of its space. To address the research question; how does the intersection of race, size, and gender play a role in being a professor, this work draws from Critical Race Theory to provide the theoretical framework. Concluding data revealed themes of racial micro-aggressions, which, suggest that the black male body continues to be imprisoned by social-psychological norms and its presence continues to be problematic for students and peers in teacher education.
