To prepare faculty and staff for the globalized university campus and to ensure retention and success of international students, this study describes the design, implementation, and assessment of the Global Zoon Project (GZP). The series of professional development provided by GZP for faculty and staff focus on cultural awareness and pedagogy of teaching English language learners. This study assesses the effectiveness of the professional development and its impact on faculty and staff’s perception of international students and their learning processes. The participants are faculty and staff from a large state university in the United States. Using a mixed method, the study explores answers to the research questions with data collected from surveys and interviews.
