Abstract

It is often assumed that learning is the core ‘business’ of education. The main aim of this session is to critically examine this assumption by exploring the practice, the language, the logic, the theory and the politics of learning. In doing so the contributors seek to give an answer to the question how much learning education actually needs and whether there might be reasons to go ‘beyond’ learning.
