Pathways to Excellence: Strengthening the Learning and Development of Black Students

Abstract

The focus of the proposed symposium is to engage participants in scholarly dialogs focused on research and creative activities aimed at enhancing the cultural and educational excellence of Black students. The symposium presenters are researchers from each region of the country who bring multiple perspectives and experiences related to the advancement of research, policy and practice in education of Black children. The symposium will prompt scholarly synergy through its interactive and dialogic nature with the ultimate goal of creating a national virtual network of researchers and educators who contribute to a repository of practices, policies and research that supports the educational and cultural excellence of Black students.
