Abstract

AERA, along with APA, NCME and ITC are the most recognized professional associations for practioners and researchers interested in educational measurement, assessment and testing. As AERA celebrates its centennial in 2016 it is fitting to review the historical evolution and contributions made by each association in terms of advancing and promoting best practices and scientific findings in educational assessment. This symposium will review this history with speakers reviewing the influence of the four associations as it relates to educational assessment.
