Language and Literacy Descriptions and Interventions From the Center on Literacy and Deafness

Abstract
The Center on Literacy and Deafness (CLAD) is a multi-university, multi-state project to examine child x instruction interactions that influence literacy acquisition in children who are deaf and hard of hearing (DHH). CLAD is also creating interventions based on information from its extensive pool of evidence. The papers in this symposium include the topics of measurement, reading growth, fluency, a fingerspelling intervention, and an integrated, code- and meaning-focused literacy prekindergarten program.
