University-school district partnerships emerged within the last few years with varying success. What are the qualities of effective partnerships? Which partnership practices promote meaningful improvements in district policies and practices, help build district research capacity, and build a culture of using data and research in decision making? At the same time, which partnership practices yield research findings that have broad relevance for school improvement? Researchers and district leaders from two established partnerships will discuss what they have learned about the qualities of productive partnerships.
