Session Type: WERA Symposium
This symposium represents an international effort to demonstrate and discuss the use of the Delphi method in education research. This iterative survey method is used to obtain expert input on a given topic through a structured panel of individuals. A process of anonymous feedback and information flow between survey ‘rounds’ aims to reach stability among expert responses, with some seeking consensus. The symposium’s overall focus is this methodological approach, while each of the studies under discussion sought expert input into issues of cultural and linguistic diversity in education. As such, we aim to generate exchange on the use of the Delphi method for public scholarship in diverse democracies.
