Issues in Postsecondary Education: What We Can Learn From National Databases

Abstract
The four papers in this roundtable each use data from the National Center for Education Statistics to examine home and school factors that relate to different postsecondary outcomes. Secondary analysis of national teacher, student and parent data use a variety of analytic techniques including Latent Class Analysis and logistic regression to explore such topics as teacher preparation, differential rates of postsecondary enrollment and completion, and math attitudes and efficacy and college attendance.
