Teaching Science for Citizenship, Agency, and Sociopolitical Action

Abstract
These papers address that age old questions, “When will I ever use this?” In this session, authors will discuss various models of teaching science for social justice and social actions. Across the papers, authors will address issues related to student ownership and agency in science education, teaching science for sociopolitical action and connections between community-based science learning experience and the development of scientific agency.
