Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
The intent of this panel is to create a conversation between scholars from the fields of Black Studies, Gender Studies, and Hip Hop Ed . Although these disciplines intersect, they are often fractured by institutional structures. Thus, in the spirit of solidarity and a a shared commitment to justice, the panelists will collectively and creatively think out loud about how scholarship, activism, teaching, and use of social media can push the boundaries of what it means to be a scholar committed to the work of interrogating and dismantling White supremacy through transdisciplinary knowledge and Hip Hop’s commitment to resistance.
