Session Type: Mentoring Session
This public forum is grounded in the experiences of a cohort of diverse current and recent graduate students who first met in April of 2015 as participants in a Division K dialogue about the theories, inquiry, policies, and practices that affect teaching and teacher education. Through participatory dialogue and honest exchange, the various myths and misconceptions about teacher preparation that emerging teacher educators encounter during their graduate studies will be illuminated and explored. All graduate students from Division K, as well as from across AERA, who aspire to be transformative teacher educators, are invited to join this conversation.
