The film makers who made the highly acclaimed PBS SCHOOL series about the history of public education will soon release a new documentary BACKPACK FULL OF CASH that traces the push for privatization and market based reform, exploring the impact on public schools and on the most vulnerable kids who rely on them. They will preview BACKPACK and discuss how they involved researchers and research in the making of the film.
