Thu, April 27, 2:15 to 3:45pm, Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, Floor: Ballroom Level, Hemisfair Ballroom 3

Abstract

This research contributes to research and practice related to the study of faculty development and academic work. We draw on data from a mixed-methods study involving a consortium of 13 liberal arts colleges (Great Lakes Colleges Association), and report on trends in faculty development activities, preferred content and delivery format, and sources of support by academic division (natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, and fine and applied arts). This focus supports the development, implementation, and assessment of a tailored and strategic faculty development portfolio that acknowledges the needs and challenges faculty members experience within academic division.
