Using Museum-Based Professional Development to Enhance Cultural Competence in Educators

Abstract

The proposed paper measured the impact a museum-based professional development experience had on educators. Participants (N=25) were administered the Cultural Competence Self-Assessment for Teachers prior to and after the professional development experience. Findings indicate that participants increased their levels of cultural competence.
