The inequality of educational opportunities at the pre-primary level for dis/abled children is, in particular, an understudied area. As a novel interdisciplinary contribution to the areas of disability studies in education and the capability approach, this study refines the theoretical principles of relational inclusion through a year-long design experiment. Rather than examining equal educational opportunities in institutions through an assessment of the distribution of resources, our approach to the assessment of educational equality focuses on the expansion of educational capabilities of dis/abled children.
