This study describes how Latina mothers in a higher education institution translated their knowledge of (bi)literacy practice(s) in to their everyday interactions with their children. This study also sought to understand how Latina student mothers mediate their educational success and their children’s educational aspirations by understanding how students balance their educational responsibilities with motherhood. This qualitative study utilized funds of knowledge (Moll, Amanti, Neff, & González, 1992) as a theoretical framework to identify and document the wealth of knowledge, skills, cultural and linguistic resources of Latina student mothers.
