The focus is globalizing classroom management principles from the West to the Middle East in the 21st century. However, there are some principles that might face difficulty when implemented because of the cultural capital. To avoid marginalization of the hosting culture, when implementing Western classroom management principles, its cultural background has to be recognized. In this paper, I examine teachers’ perspectives on implementing these classroom management theories and approaches in some private schools in the UAE, as a sample of a diverse Middle Eastern context. The results show that teachers appreciate many of the classroom management theories and approaches, but they faced some cultural barriers, in their schools, that hinder the implementation of some core classroom management principles.
