Sat, April 29, 2:45 to 4:15pm, Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, Floor: Ballroom Level, Hemisfair Ballroom 1

Abstract

The purposes of this study are twofold, to elicit female undergraduate students’ perspectives about their learning experiences in scientific and technological fields and to explore how they perceive science subjects, what factors encourage or discourage their interest and engagement in science and engineering, and what their future career plans are. Nine female undergraduate students in scientific and technological fields were invited to tell in their own voices about their lived learning experiences.
