The purpose of this study was to examine the impacts of an intercultural online collaboration on pre-service teachers’ technology integration learning by comparing an intercultural group with a same-culture group. A total of 115 pre-service teachers from three universities in the U.S. and South Korea were invited to participate, including 76 in the intercultural collaboration group. While working with peers for four weeks, students collaboratively created a website and inforgraphics. Participants’ learning experiences were examined based on seven data sources, including pre and post surveys and students’ reflections. The study found that intercultural online collaboration was particularly useful for pre-service teachers to develop communication skills with English language leaners and to increase confidence in working with people from different cultures.
