The Teacher in Review (TIR) project is an action research program designed for teachers in a Quaker (Friends) school. TIR was designed with the intent to serve as a form of teacher evaluation. We systematically designed and engaged in research to inform our understanding of action research as a form of teacher evaluation. However, as the study unfolded it became clear there was evidence of Quakerism within the process. This study opens the door for us to begin to consider a typology of Quaker pedagogy in teacher evaluation and professional development.
