Abstract

The question of individual accountability and social responsibility in matters of social injustice presents a perduring concern for educational leaders. The purpose of this study was to examine the nature of social injustices as meta-narrative in educational settings and the positioning of educational leadership as mediational praxis and counter narrative against injustices. The study focused on what constitutes social injustices in the educational setting, the nature of mediational praxis, and the intersection between injustice and social justice praxis. Using a poststructural analysis, narratives, as “social injustice” and “mediational” texts, were analyzed for language and action within/across discourse, illuminating patterns and relationships.
