This study investigated 659 Taiwanese college students’ current health status, eHealth literacy, and health-promoting lifestyle. The study found that college students rank critical literacy higher than functional and interactive literacies. The study also found that college students do not take much personal responsibility for their own health and lack sufficient exercise. The students who major in medical fields have higher eHealth literacy. Women have higher functional literacy and interactive eHealth literacy than men. In addition, a health-promoting lifestyle fully mediates the relation between eHealth literacy and health status, eHealth literacy predicts all dimensions of a health-promoting lifestyle, and critical eHealth literacy better predicts a health-promoting lifestyle.
