Abstract

According to the 37th Annual Report to Congress, over 90% of students with disabilities (SWD) are educated for at least a part of their school day in a general education classroom (Department of Education, 2015). The percentage of SWD receiving 80% or more of their education in the general education setting has grown by over 10% since 2004 (U.S. Department of Education, 2015). With the increased emphasis on educating students outside of a separate setting, there is a need for teachers to incorporate strategies meeting the diversity of all students.
