The goals of this study were (a) to test a series of hypotheses about the efficacy of an intervention to help improve working memory in students with ADHD; (b) to add to theory on the role of working memory in ADHD; and (c) to test a novel technology for improving calmness and focus in 3rd-7th grade students. Findings generally indicated that students’ fidgeting decreased, their calm states increased, and their attentiveness in class increased as a result of the intervention. Working memory for all students improved over time. The results of this study have the potential to improve the emotional and academic progress of students in grades 3 – 7.
