Using sense of belonging, this paper examines the experiences and challenges of international students (i.e., Canadian students) attending an HBCU. As more international students enroll in HBCUs and as more HBCUs establish partnership with various countries, findings from this study may help HBCUs better understand the needs and experiences of Canadian students, which might yield in better recruitment and success of these students.
