Our study argues for the need to re-examine teacher beliefs around technology in the context of classrooms today. Specifically, we are in conversation with literature that implies that meaningful and effective implementation of technology in the classroom is tied to teacher beliefs. Our work reveals how within a technologically saturated environment, teachers are in fact using technology in classrooms, but invisibly, in ways that are more nuanced, and revealing of teachers everyday lives. This study examines teachers’ beliefs and assumptions about technology in order to better understand the ways that technology is organically woven into classroom structures, shaping the context of what is and is not considered technology in schools.
