Abstract

This paper explores women’s programs and centers at HBCUs. Our scholarship uses a critical perspective to analyze the women’s programs and centers present at HBCUs, the services and programs offered, and the ways in which these programs communicate with students and wider audiences. The implications of this research provide insight into how some HBCUs approach servicing the unique needs of Black women in a predominately Black campus environment.
