Abstract

The purpose of this qualitative heuristic inquiry was to explore the experiences of women conducting research from an etic perspective (outsider) in international contexts. The research sought to understand the reasons why women engage in etic research and the methods they use. This work also examined changes in women's epistemological beliefs, the evolution of their positionality, and the refinement of their research agenda resulting from their fieldwork in international contexts.
