Abstract

Measurement equivalence investigation is as a preliminary step before examining mean-level comparisons across different groups. This study examined the structural equivalence of the mathematics confidence subscale, which measures agreement with negative statements, of the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) between US and Korea. The results of the current analysis demonstrated that partial measurement invariance was obtained across US students and Korean students.
