This instrumental case study explores the the long-term impact of an Inclusive Teacher Residency Model (IRTP) on teacher development. This method was chosen to gain insight and build theory around the components of a residency model most effective in preparing teacher candidates to be critically conscious, inclusive educators. This paper examines data from both resident and induction years, and identifies key findings that emerged from the data during the transitional years of pre-service to inservice teaching. The findings reveal relevant information for teacher preparation programs striving to support teacher candidates in their ability to bridge theory to practice.
