This study explores the impact of a model of interactive formative feedback on educational leadership doctoral students’. Interactive formative feedback involves the use of live feedback, student/instructor and student/peer dialog as well as student memoing. Through fostering discourse, we found evidence of the active agency of students through self-authorship. In addition, we found that forcing discourse through the structured process was a critical component of catalyzing learning through formative processes.
