This study measures the impact of a principal readiness education program on participant self-efficacy. This program was designed in collaboration between a state educational service center, five public school districts, two public universities and one private university. Data were collected from 41 program participants (experimental group) and 35 non-participants (control group). Analyses of covariance were employed to measure the impact of the principal readiness education program on principal self-efficacy. Individuals who participated in the principal readiness education program demonstrated statistically significant gains in principal self-efficacy as compared with those in the control group. Implications are discussed.
