This study examined how teachers’ thinking was represented in documentation as well as how they discovered their own way of documentation. Multiple case study was employed to reveal participant teachers’ thinking on documentation. Through analyzing documentation, I adapted renderings, contiguity, living inquiry, metaphor/metonymy, opening, reverberation, and excess, which are criteria of a/r/tography. Through the lens of the rendering, I looked for similarities in a/r/tography and documentation to analyze how teachers’ thinking was represented through documentation. A/r/tography as methodological practice makes thinking visible through artistic expression. As a product of documentation, a/r/tography is a practical way for teachers who struggle to finalize documentation to include their interpretation and theories.
